Capiz Lions Club inducts new set of officers
ROXAS CITY – The new set of officers of the Capiz Lions Club were inducted last Friday, November 28, at the Governor Hall of the Capiz Provincial Capitol here.
Adding color to the affair was the presence of 19 beautiful and lovely candidates vying for the search for Mutya sang Sinadya sa Halaran 2008.
Capiz Lion's Club is the organization behind the holding of Mutya sang Sinadya sa Halaran beauty and brain pageant for 33 years.
Capiz Governor Victor Tanco, Sr. graced the meaningful occasion and delivered his inspirational message.
Tanco congratulated the new set of officer of the Capiz Lion's Club after the induction.
Inducted during the affair were: John Philip Darnayla, president; Glenn Contreras, 1st vice president; Leo Vincent Eusalan, 2nd vice president; Randee Albar, 3rd vice president; Nereus "Nonong" Azarcon, Secretary; Dr. Richard "Chard" Benliro, Treasurer; Dr. Ramon "Ramy" Nolasco, membership director; Francis Gerald Salgado, Lion Tarmer; Noel Custodio, Tail Twister; Mel Sergio "Chuck" Acuña, Auditor; Jose Vannie Pimentel, P.R.O; and Edmund De Asis, Liaison Officer. The oath taking was administered by PP Jessie Contreras.
The induction was also attended by parents of the 19 lovely candidates of Mutya sang Sinadya sa Halaran and other guests.
