Thanksgiving at The Promenade
Roast Turkey with Cornbread.
The Roast Turkey with Cornbread at The Promenade was a hit during the Thanksgiving Day Special of its International Smorgasbord laid out last Nov. 29, 2008.
Diners commented that the meat almost melted on their mouths and it tasted really good even without the cranberry sauce. My friend Atho and I marveled at how the turkey was roasted to perfection.
As it was a Thanksgiving dinner, The Promenade prepared more sumptuous recipes to give justice to the occasion. It is, after all, a large meal and is ideal for family gatherings.

In the middle of conversations of Zen and thinking positive, we started with appetizers and some fare at the carving station. Atho commented that the US Roast Beef was just so yummy. I had my filling of Rumaki. It was actually its name and how it was presented that attracted me to it. And you know what they say about judging a book by its cover? Well, Rumaki was a perfect concoction inside and out. It's a finger food that originated from Hawaii and it's chicken liver wrapped in bacon, marinated on soy sauce and other herbs that are considered as The Promenade's well-kept secret.
For dessert, a must-try is the Assorted Mousse. I got an ube-flavored one and it was perfect. Atho was enjoying Tutti-fruity Trifle, with its medley of layered friends, cake and cream.

That Saturday, we had various blessings to be thankful for and what perfect way to celebrate it, than being at the Thanksgiving Day Special of the Promenade.
