PRO 6 awards medals to wounded 6RMG personnel
In the aftermath of the December 3 ambush of 6RMG personnel in Brgy Estado, Victorias City, Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 Director, Chief Superintendent Isagani R Cuevas, together with Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office Director Senior Superintendent Manuel Felix, and 6th Regional Mobile Group Director Superintendent Remus Zacharias Canieso, visited in Bacolod City the wounded lady cops and provided necessary assistance.
Cuevas also awarded Medalya Ng Sugatang Magiting (PNP Wounded Personnel Medal) to Police Officers 1 (PO1's) Melanie Tupaz, Maria Fe Cantomayor, Annie Lou Patricio and Jocelyn Tebar, after sustaining gunshot wounds during the ambush with the undetermined number of armed rebels while on board the PNP patrol vehicle of 6RMG.
Financial assistance was also given to said personnel.
Cuevas likewise visited at Rolling Hills Memorial Chapel the bereaved family of PO1 Jane Tacadao of San Lorenzo, Guimaras, the lone casualty of the incident, and assured them of the PNP's support.
Meanwhile, Cuevas was the guest of honor during closing ceremony of the PNP Modified Scout Class 13-2008 at Camp Aniceto Lacson in Victorias City.(LL Villasana)
