Capitol employees to receive P25T bonus each
BACOLOD CITY – As a way of thanking the capitol employees for their hard work and achievement in the field of public service, Governor Isidro Zayco signed yesterday a request addressed to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan approving an appropriation ordinance for employees' Christmas bonus this year.
Zayco said instead of P20,000 which was announced earlier, it will be P25,000 or an increase of P5,000 pesos.
A total of P55 million was allocated by the province for 2,199 employees working in various departments.
"I believe that capitol employees are very deserving of such benefit because Negros Occidental this year was adjudged by the Department of Interior and Local Government as the most outstanding province in local governance," Zayco added.
Governor Zayco cannot attend the awarding ceremony to be held this afternoon at Sarabia Manor Hotel and Convention Center, Iloilo City instead Executive Assistant IV Jonathan Lobaton together with Executive Assistant II Gerard Tupaz and Board Member Emmanuel Frederick Ko will receive the award.
"Excellence in Local Governance Award in Western Visayas is another milestone for Negros Occidental and I would like to thank DILG for acknowledging the efforts of the province," Zayco added.
