Gift giving from the Rotary Club of Iloilo City
Joe Totengco, president of Rotary Club
of Iloilo City.
The Rotary Club of Iloilo City celebrated their Christmas party together with the students and teachers of West Visayas Sanitarium Elementary School at Iloilo Golf and Country Club, Santa Barbara Iloilo, on Dec. 15, 2008.
This celebration served as gift giving of the Rotary Club of Iloilo City, for the children of West Visayas Sanitarium Elementary School.
They were celebrating this for almost four years, and this was the project proposed by the former president of the Rotary Club of Iloilo City, Joefrey Stammers. Mr. Stammers passed away last year but the Rotary Club of Iloilo City continues to support the students of WVSES.
According to Joe Totengco, the new President of Rotary Club of Iloilo City, the gift giving is their their annual celebration for the students of WVSES and they will celebrate this every Monday of December, because this is the day wherein they can occupy the lawn for their parlor games, because nobody is playing golf. And before the year ends, they will sign a memorandum of agreement that they will adopt the WVSES.

Mr. Totengco also estimated that four years ago, the population of the said school was only 109 and now more than 300 pupils were enrolled.
As they continue supporting the WVSES, the Rotary Club of Iloilo City is looking forward for more success with their projects.
