Israel chosen nation of God
How long will the Israel-Hamas conflict last? Though the Israelite tanks and soldiers are already in Gaza strip and surrounded the Gaza City, yet missiles of the Hamas militants are raining over Israel territory. Israel said that it's willing to stop the fighting provided Hamas militants stop firing missiles in Israel. The United Nations Security Council that had its emergency session the other day could not find an acceptable solution to the Middle East conflict. Egypt and France spearheaded the negotiation and they are scheduled to meet with Israel and Hamas representatives to look for a lasting peace in the Middle East.
Israel Defense Minister in a statement issued to the U.N. Secretary General, the Jewish nation will only stop the bombardment both ground and air assault as soon as the militant Hamas stop firing missiles to the Israel cities. But who can stop Hamas militants from continuously firing rockets in Israel? Even Palestinian President Mohamod Abbas cannot stop Hamas despite the fact that Gaza is part of the territory of Palestine. Meanwhile, casualties of civilians mounted up while food, medicines, water and basic necessities are nowhere to find. Israel had allowed humanitarian aid from other countries to come in.
The Bible says that Israel is the chosen nation of God and the Israelites people are His elite people since ancient biblical time. In Genesis 12:2-3: God said to Abram (later called Abraham), “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
In the 1968 war between the Arab countries – Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Iran and Syria, Jewish army single-handedly defeated the combined superior forces of the Arab world. Again in the 1973 Middle East conflict, the Arab powerful might battled the beleaguered Israel army but the Arabs were again defeated. Jewish religious leaders in an interview over Daystar and TBN television networks believe that there was an invisible power that helped Israel to victory. Pentecostal and charismatic Christians are of the belief that the Almighty God did not abandon His chosen people, and the Holy Nation Israel.
Christians all over the world are praying for the cessation of hostilities in the Middle East. Will God allow His chosen nation and people defeated? The Holy Bible according to Biblical scholars has been strengthened by recent findings of archaeologists that there are sufficient evidences to prove that the writings of prophets and apostles in the Holy Scripture are true and authentic. God works miracles and Israel again may miraculously come out victorious in their conflict with Hamas militants. Pray for the peace of the world, lasting peace in the Middle East!
