A cherry's blessing
Cherry Nietes, David Makabutas and
company.
Nope, I'm not referring to a blessing given by a fruit. But, like the cherry, this blessing may come in a small package but it brings with it the benefits of safe and convenient transport, lesser fuel expense and a better life for the driver. This is about the Zorex Cherry Taxi, which recently held its blessing at its garage in Compania, Molo.
Owners Oscar Nava and Renan dela Cruz welcomed their drivers, their families and guests in this important milestone of Zorex Cherry Taxi, which has 10 units at present.
Ariel Kapaw-an, Rogelio Vera Cruz, Rudy
Kayakan and Blas Oquindo (ZCT drivers).
I learned that ZCT's brand is the Suzuki Alto, which allows fuel savings and it does not use LPG. Further, its drivers can actually own the unit after six years and are set to receive P100,000 from the company. Presently, the drivers receive a free sack of rice every two months.
Talk about a taxi company with a heart. Congratulations!
