Land titling in Brgy. 1 directly under CENRO
BACOLOD CITY -- Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia officially turned over the land titling needs for Barangay 1 to the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), January 8. 2009.
CENRO-DENR Officer-in-Charge, Joan Nathaniel Gerangaya, announced CENRO’s plan to regularly visit the Barangay to process the residents’ application for land title, which will spare them the effort and expense of going to the city’s Environment Office for the procedure.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia assured residents of the Barangay that the city is fully in support of the CENRO move and will negotiate with that office for the reduction of the application fee for land titling. He also gave a brief preview on the proposal to construct breakwaters so as to expand Barangay 1 to cater to the relocation of houses that will be affected by the proposed road construction. Task Force representatives Roberto Trocio, Rex Paguntalan and Felix Tinosan were instrumental in the pursuance of the long-awaited finalized development plan for Brgy. 1.
