DSWD-6 personnel cited as model employees, top performers
Two personnel of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Field Office 6 (DSWD 6) are among the five other employees and top performers from other regions in the country will be cited by the DSWD on January 29 in connection with its 58thAnniversary celebration.
This year’s best performers are Ms. Rosario A. Silla of Field Office VI, “Best Division Chief – Technica”; Mr. Eduardo L. Guevarra of Field Office VI, “Best Technical Staff – Professional Category; Director Zorahayda T. Taha of Field Office XII, “Best Manager;” Adelina S. Apostol of Field Office III, “Best Assistant Manager;” Mr. Nerio N. Salaveria, “Best Technical Staff – Sub Professional”; Ms. Evelyn B. Pinongcos, “Best Support Staff-Professional”; and Ms. Delia B. Santiago – “Best Support Staff-Sub-Professional”.
The DSWD press report disclosed that Social Welfare and Development Secretary Esperanza I. Cabral pointed out that each of the awardees contributed his or her talent, skills and expertise, which in turn, helped DSWD to deliver efficient and timely services to its clients and stakeholders. Likewise, the awardees exemplify the commitment and dedication of DSWD personnel, which is responsible for the Department’s being number one in performance among all government agencies.
Ms. Rosario A. Silla, a division chief at DSWD-Field Office VI and currently designated as head of the Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth has transformed RRCY into a functional rehabilitation center by introducing programs and reforms, as well as organizing the center’s operation, the DSWD press report disclosed.
As Regional Youth Development Officer of DSWD-Field Office VI, Mr. Eduardo L. Guevarra’s effectiveness and efficiency in handling youth development projects; such as Sharing Computer Access Locally and Abroad (SCALA), Teen Bayan Education for Youth, HIV/AIDS Youth Advocacy Package, Family Drug Abuse Prevention Program and Tinapay ng Bayan Project, has catapulted Region VI in the national limelight as top performer in the implementation of youth development projects.(DSWD/PIA 6/T.Villavert)
