P3-M training for work scholarship for Bacoleños
BACOLOD CITY -- Rep. Monico O. Puentevella (Bacolod City Lone Dist.) announces the opening of more than 400 job-directed training scholarships for qualified jobless Bacoleños who are willing to undergo the required training hours.
The 400 scholarships are open for welders, household service workers, plumbers, masonries, pipe fitters and tile setters.
After completing the requirements, the Technical Education Skills and Development Authority shall help facilitate possible job placements for the scholars.
Puentevella said that this scholarships is the response to lessen the impact of the financial crisis to unemployed and underemployed Bacoleños.
He added that this is a job-directed training program and enhances the employability of Bacoleños not only locally but also abroad.
The scholarship has a total cost of more than 3 million pesos which covers training fees, training allowance, incentive package and free assessment and certification. (PIA/cad)
