PRO-6 re-enforces Tamang Bihis project
“Don’t just wear it. Wear the prescribed uniform.” This stern warning goes to all police personnel regarding the use of uniform appropriate in different occasions or events.
This, Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 Director, Police Chief Superintendent Isagani R. Cuevas ordered the regular rank inspection of personnel every Saturday in all police units in order to ensure that they have the complete set of prescribed PNP uniforms.
Cuevas said the inspection is part of the requirements of PNP’s project Tamang Bihis towards making every police personnel look presentable with their uniforms.
In line with its Integrated Transformation Program, the PNP sets additional guidelines on wearing of uniform for athletics, community actions, drills and ceremonies.
Cuevas also underlined that the rigors of police work is not an excuse for lousy uniform. “We warn our personnel from using faded and worn-out uniform,” he added. (POIII F.B. Lindero Jr)
