TESDA-JITCO open doors for Ilonggo workers
Here’s a really good news to all Ilonggo job seekers. Or those at least in the field of welding, plastic molding, casting, painting, agriculture and press machinist works. And carpentry too, farming, food processing and industrial laundry work.
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is once again holding a one-of-a-kind training fair/jobs fair tomorrow.
Realized in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation (JITCO) program, qualified applicants and accepted trainees will be sent to Japan for a paid training.
Dubbed the TESDA-JITCO Project, a team with representatives from selected sending organizations will conduct the pre-selection process in Pavia starting 8am.
Requirements are very basic – resume, 2 x2 picture, birth certificate, high school diploma or transcript of records, employment certification if any and passport if available.
While pre-selection is in the Second District, TESDA regional office 6 in a statement said applicants from other districts will be accepted.
Those pre-selected will be required to undergo and pass the Japanese Language Training before they are sent to Japan.
The TESDA-JITCO project is a private arrangement between Japanese and Philippine companies. Member firms of JITCO facilitate the transfer of technology, skills and knowledge to trainees sent by Philippine companies through TESDA.
JITCO and TESDA serve as Project Managers and Information Exchange Organizations of Japan and the Philippines.
“We aim to intensify the training of industry workers through the update and acquisition of new skills and technologies from developed counties like Japan,” Secretary Augusto Boboy Syjuco, TESDA Director General said. “And with this TESDA-JITCO project, we are strengthening further the cooperation and friendship between Japan and Philippines.”
