DAR reshuffles provincial officers in four WV provinces
Four provincial offices of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Western Visayas are working under the leadership of new Provincial Agrarian Reform Officers (PAROs) pursuant to Special Order No. 20, series of 2009 recently signed by Secretary Nasser C. Pangandaman.
DAR-Iloilo is now being handled by PARO II Eberardo N. Erispe whose position in Capiz was assumed by PARO Regina L. Caspillo from Guimaras.
PARO Ricardo B. Fernandez was transferred to Negros Occidental replacing PARO Teresita Depeñoso who was assigned in Guimaras.
The revamp was aimed at improving further the delivery of government services especially in areas that have been covered by the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).
Meanwhile, DAR assistant regional director for operations Felicidad C. Bañares urged all DAR employees to extend double support to their new provincial heads.
“We are at the crossroads at this very crucial time and we are being watched and observed by the public,” Bañares said.
“I accepted the new assignment without grumbling or rancor for I believe in the dictum that we can’t be good leaders unless we are good leaders,” PARO Erispe said during the turn over ceremony held at the DAR –Iloilo office. (PNA)
