Cano Tan says: 'No retreat, no surrender'
BACOLOD CITY -- It's time for former Bacolod City Councilor now DOTC Assistant Secretary and LTO-NCR Director Ricardo "Cano" Tan to pursue his political plans to run for Congressman in the Lone District of Bacolod.
He said, his plans to run are definite saying "it's no retreat no surrender."
Tan explained that in the previous elections, there were valid reasons why he gave way to his political opponents who sought for the mayoralty post in the City of Bacolod.
He said that he cannot refuse President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo when she asked him to make a supreme sacrifice for her. "As a good soldier, I followed the President," he said.
During those times, his appointment as LTO-NCR Director gained the approval of the President, at the peak of his plans to run as Mayor of Bacolod City.
He said, his political organization is already in place.
Everyone was so down when they heard the sudden twist of Cano Tan's political plans. But he asked his supporters for their understanding.
He said everything happened for a reason.
Tan is the City Chairman of KAMPI. For now, he is the congressional bet of KAMPI prior to the possible merger of KAMPI and LAKAS.
KAMPI Regional Chairman 5th District Rep. Iggy Arroyo earlier said that Cano Tan is the choice of the party to run for Congressman in the City of Bacolod.
