SP invites Divino to shed light on DPWH 'anomalies'
ROXAS CITY – Whistle-blower Mr. Gene Divino will be invited by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) in their session this week to clarify damaging issues he raised against the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 2nd engineering district.
In last Thursday's session, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) had a heated discussion on whether or not to invite Divino in their question hour.
Board Member Winston Advincula moved for Divino's investigation Board Member Gilbert Ardivilla, acting vice governor and presiding officer during that time, did not sign the invitation.
Board Member Fritz Crum Am criticized Ardivilla for not signing the invitation. The latter however said that his failure to sign the invitation was unintentional.
Ardivilla also said that the allegations of Divino which were taken from the internet were mere scrap of papers and it should be signed by the latter. It should also be first tackled by the concerned committee like Committee on Infrastructure and Committee on Laws before bringing it in the question hour.
Cruz Am, on his part, insisted that it should be tackled in the regular session since it has already been taken up by radio, television and newspapers.
Representatives from DPWH were also invited to shed light on the allegations of Divino.
