SP sets rules on transport group accreditation
BACOLOD CITY -- Sangguniang Panglungsod Member Catalino Alisbo recently passed a resolution mandating all public transport associations in the city of Bacolod to include in their accomplishment report for city accreditation their traffic seminar conducted among bonafide members and training on road courtesy among others.
Alisbo said that "every non-government organization (NGO) and public organization are required to apply for accreditation with the city through the Sangguniang Panglungsod for whatever financial assistance or otherwise for their economic, socially-oriented, environmental, or cultural projects to be implemented by their organization for the benefit of its officers and members."
Alisbo believes that it is high time to inculcate safety driving since traffic condition in the city had become too heavy due to the increase in the number of vehicles and population while motorists seem to ignore traffic principles including the LTO ten commandments on traffic
Alisbo said that traffic problem in the city could be addressed with the cooperation of the transport associations.
