The University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos (UNO – R), College of Arts and Sciences, Mass Communication Department hosted its Alumni Homecoming held at the University Auditorium last February 20.
“A night to remember…” in line with the yearly Mass Comm week celebration, aimed to reach out and reunite the Alumni to their beloved Alma Mater. It was the most opportune time to convene and meet old classmates and friends that were missed all these years. The occasion was with endless picture taking, chitchat and laughter as they reminisced the good old days, rekindle both cherished and bizarre memories, and cheered up to their present achievements in their respective fields of endeavor in local business and media.

The affair was graced by no less than the Dean of College of Arts and Sciences, Rev. Fr. Joel A. Alve, OAR along with the Head of English/Mass Comm. Dept., Mr. Rufus M. Javier who works hand in hand with the ever supportive members of the faculties of the College of Arts and Sciences.
Also present in making the night a significant one was the Director of Department of Student Affairs (DSA), Mr. Carlos Eduardo Legaspi, Mr. Rios, Ms. Caler, Ms Hibaler, Ms Manalo and a lot more. Everybody were having as much fun being surrounded and greeted by their previous mentors.
A night of songs and dances showcasing the versatility and talents of Mass Comm mentors, gave an awesome dance number that totally rocked the house leaving impressive evidence to everybody that despite the years passed, they could still keep up in following the latest moves and grooves with their students.
Everyone was equally pleased that apart from the entertainment, a buffet of lavish mouthwatering delicacies was also creatively prepared by Bless n’ Share catering services for dinner complete with lechon and one of the best tasting salads for dessert.

The final part of the affair was the distribution of the Certificates of Participation to the attendees.
Through the years, the College of Arts and Sciences continues to soar as it merits brilliant innovations further enhancing the superior quality of education it has been offering. Achievements they wanted to share and update the alumni with the objective of supporting and holding on to the continuing values that epitomize the Alma Mater.
