Capiz PNP now ready for Holy Week security
ROXAS CITY – Various police stations in the province have established their respective public assistance centers in preparation for the Holy Week celebration and summer vacation.
The security preparation and police assistance towards safe travels for motorists, commuters, and vacationers is in line with the directive of Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) Director, Police Chief Superintendent Isagani R. Cuevas to ensure a peaceful Lenten break.
”We are expecting the increase in volume of commuters as students go home for summer break and other people return to their hometowns for vacation,” Cuevas said in a PRO 6 portal news.
The public assistance centers are also expected to respond to vehicular problems and accidents.
Additional policemen were also deployed at bus terminals, seaports and airports to tighten security to deter criminal activities.
The online news also added that the region’s police force will be in Full Alert status during the Holy Week. (PIA/A.Lumaque)
