565 pass PNP agility test
The two-day physical agility test held recently at Camp Martin Delgado disqualified 58 of the 623 applicants to the police service.
The applicants performed push-up, sit-up, pull-up, 100-meter dash, and 1-kilometer run. The test is to ensure that qualified applicants can endure the rigors of police training.
Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) is allocated with 350 slots in the PNP regular and attrition recruitment programs.
The 565 who survived the agility test still have to undergo neuropsychiatric test, medical and dental examinations, drug tests, and panel interview.
Meanwhile, PRO6 Director, Police Chief Superintendent Isagani R Cuevas, warned the applicants to take extra pre-cautions against persons posing as fixers.
“We received information that applicants were extorted, though we have not received a single complaint yet,” Cuevas said adding that he will not tolerate fixers, if there is any.
He also warned all PNP personnel not to solicit money from and impose undue influence upon the applicants.
“It is conduct unbecoming of a police officer, and, therefore, be dealt with accordingly,” he said. (FB Lindero Jr.)
