4 Iloilo coops to get P2M Capitol aid
Four cooperatives in the province of Iloilo are set to receive P500,000 each as Capitol aid following the request of Governor Niel Tupas Sr.
Awaiting and seeking procedural legislative approval, Tupas wrote the 9th Iloilo Sanggunian Panlalawigan (SP) in behalf of the beneficiary-cooperatives.
Source of funding is the Provincial Livelihood Trust Fund (PLTF) with the matter now pending final nod of the Committee on Cooperative and other non-governmental organizations.
The cooperatives set to be P500,000 richer each are Zarraga Municipal Employees and Officials Cooperative, the Badiangan Officials and Employees Credit Cooperative, the Passi Trade School Multi-Purpose Cooperative and the Banate Multi-Purpose Cooperative.
“These cooperatives have undergone assessment and evaluation and have complied with the requirements in accordance with the Provincial Livelihood Project Fund (PLPF) guidelines,” the referral to the SP went.
The amount will go to lending project and socialized credit program of said cooperatives.
