Child's play in a beautiful world
On the 10th year Foundation Day of one of the city's most promising or perhaps the most favorable school for early education - RS Child Development Center located in Villa, Arevalo showcased a literary musical adventure through poems, children's songs and dances entitled " A Beautiful World" held in the majestic Crown Ballroom of Punta Villa Resort. School owners Judgee and Sarah Pena personally welcomed all their invited guests.
Part One of the program had the young wards taking the roles of their favorite nursery rhyme characters like Jack & Jill, Eency Weency Spider, Three Blind Mice, Old McDonald, Little Sunny Water, Duckie Doos and many more. A thunderous applause and shouts of bravos filled the huge hall after every performance from proud parents, relatives and guests.
An intermission presentation followed with a vocal solo from Aliah Girao; a Binalaybay from Renz Isaiah Inquit and a cutesy belly dance from the guest performers of the renowned Annie Divinagracia-Sartorio School of Performing Arts.
Part Two, the young pupils delivered a charming display of their mastery with poems in Oh Captain, My Captain and Annabel Lee rendered by Angel Jude Diones and Gio Franco Abellar respectively. Then came the songs and dances with repertoire of excerpts taken from Walt Disney's movies like Alladin's "A Whole New World"; Pocahonta's "Colors of the Wind"; Little mermaid's "Under the Sea"; and the smash hit High School Musical.
It was an afternoon filled with fun, laughters and delights from proud parents and guests. A buffet merienda was served after the program to guests and packed merieda bags to all students, performers and some hundreds of kids from different day care centers around Arevalo District who were invited to watch and join the celebration. Kudos to School Head Sir Boni Gaverza and his teachers for a job well done!
Indeed it was most fitting for Sarah O. Pena to mention during her welcome speech that "the day is a celebration that will bring out every child in us". During that very magical afternoon, everyone was in "A Beautiful World."
Cheers!
