Abusive traffic aide
Last Thursday night a truck driver of Makinaugalingon Press was apprehended by a traffic auxiliary, certain Bornales, after his truck stopped in the middle of the road just before the Locsin-Avanceña intersection in Molo district. Bornales cited the truck's driver for “Obstruction” despite knowing that the truck stopped due to a mechanical trouble. Apparently, Bornales does not know his job as traffic auxiliary. Instead of helping direct the flow of traffic while awaiting the vehicle that would tow the truck, Bornales showed his arrogance and abusiveness by finding a violation against the driver and confiscating his license. Arrogant and abusive traffic aides like this Bornales does not deserve to stay a minute longer in his post. Sir Bob Foerster should kick him out immediately, he only adds to the already negative image of our traffic aides!
MRF
Mayor Jerry Treñas has issued an executive order directing all barangay officials to establish material recovery facility (MRF) in their respective barangays for waste segregation. The establishment of MRF has long been encouraged as contained in the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000. But it seems barangay officials don't give a damn. Maybe stringent measures should be imposed by the executive to pressure the barangay officials into doing their job. Kon trabaho gani mahinay pero kon kwarta gani madasig.
Good development
The recent decision of the Supreme Court expanding the seats for partylist groups is seen as a boost to Congressman Raul's bid to divide the city into two legislative districts. With the development, political observers say that the collision between Raul Sr. and Jerry in the congressional race could be avoided. Otherwise, a battle royale would be in the offing.
