NOPPO tops Regional Performance Rating
BACOLOD CITY -- Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Noppo) through the leadership of Senior Supt. Manuel Felix emerged on top of the 1st Quarter Performance Evaluation Rating (PER) of Police Regional Office 6 covering the period 01 January to 31 March 2009.
For over a year, Noppo reclaimed the No. 1 ranking, with 776.042 points from among nine Police Provincial Offices/City Police Offices to include the 6th Regional Mobile Group in Western Visayas.
“The remarkable performance of Noppo in besting other PPOs and CPOs in the region can be attributed to the valuable contribution of all stakeholders of the Philippine National Police in Negros Occidental,” Felix said.
He also thanked the able leadership of Governor Isidro Zayco who serves as the guiding principle of policemen assigned in Noppo to ensure the safety and security of the province, making it the best place to live, work and do business.
Police records revealed that Guimaras PPO ranked second with 773.314 points followed by Iloilo PPO (761.396), Iloilo City Police Office (756.053), Aklan PPO (745.655), Bacolod City Police Office (730.113), Antique PPO (688.951), Capiz PPO (668.212) and the 6th RMG (607.030).
Criteria considered during the evaluation were Human Resource Doctrine and Development, Regional Intelligence Division and Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division.
“I would like to thank also the full cooperation of Local Government Units, Non-Governmental Organizations, other government agencies, the media and the Negrense community in general for the morale-boosting support to the local PNP that finally, NOPPO is reaping the fruits of its labor as policemen continue to improve under his command,” Felix said.
