Salvador Britanico - New congressman
Recently, the Supreme Court decided to add 32 more seats for the party-list at the House of Representatives.
This case was filed by party list group called BANAT (Barangay Association for National Advancement and Transparency) led by former Assemblyman Salvador Britanico of Iloilo. Incidentally, he is the first nominee of BANAT. Hence with the winning of that case, he became BANAT'S congressman.
There is no doubt as to the qualification and competency of Britanico since he has vast experience in public service. He started as municipal councilor of Oton, Iloilo, then delegate to the 1973 Constitution Convention, member of both Interim and regular Batasang Pambansa where he was concurrently deputy minister (equivalent ot present undersecretary) of education.
As member of the Batasang Pambansa, Britanico worked for the creation of Western Visayas College of Science and Technology, West Visayas State University and University of the Philippine in the Visayas Miagao campus - the biggest UP campus in the country. He also introduced several government infrastructures in the province of Iloilo.
In his present position, Rep. Salvador Britanico promises to help Panay with his prok barrel share. More power to you, Buddy.
