TESDA welcomes PN program of KSPN
Program registration of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Regional Office 6 got yet another boost with the approval granted on Practical Nursing (PN) here..
Recipient of the TESDA nod is Kennedy School of Practical Nursing and Review Center Inc. (KSPN) under TESDA’s Technical – Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system.
The registration was realized with government-prescribed competencies readily met by the KSPN, a first of its kind practical nursing and review center in Iloilo.
Located at Lopez Jaena Street, Jaro District, KSPN has since banked on the 100% passing average of its students in the US State Board examinations, National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX – PN).
TESDA’s TVET program registration is a prerequisite on standards setting and system development in the country.
“Another pillar towards the realization of TESDA's authority role in the TVET sector is to ensure quality through the provision of standards and system development services,” TESDA in its online advisory explained. “It is the system that ensures compliance of Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) with the minimum requirements as prescribed under the promulgated training regulation to include among others curricular programs, faculty and staff qualifications, physical sites and facilities, tools, equipment, supplies and materials and similar requirements prior to the issuance of the government authority to offer or undertake technical vocational education programs.”
As such, KSPN as a “TVET institution” complied with the TESDA requirements of registration on its PN program officially listed in the TESDA Compendium of Registered Programs.
