Dr. Lapating's radio plugs
Provincial Schools Division Superintendent and GSIS board of trustee Dr. Raymundo Lapating has an ongoing radio plugs calling on parents to enroll their children this coming school year 2009-2010. This is the first time that Lapating has come out with such radio announcement in his long years of service as head of schools in the province. Because of this many are saying that it could be part of Lapating's initial moves regarding his plan to throw his hat into politics. Talks are persistent in Passi City that Lapating would run for mayor in 2010. It seems his radio plugs confirm it.
BAC has new chair
There seems to be a brewing conflict again within the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) of the Iloilo Provincial Capitol. News broke out yesterday that a new chair took over the BAC in the person of provincial attorney Salvador Cabaluna. He replaced General Services Office (GSO) head Ramie Salcedo. It could not yet be ascertained what caused the change of leadership in the BAC, but it is public knowledge that several issues cropped up recently regarding the operations of the BAC under Salcedo. One of which is the controversial acquisition of the overpriced autoclave machines. Ironically, Salcedo is known to be a Tupas man. Ano ayhan ang rason?
