Gift-giving highlights NOPPO's Flores de Mayo
"God's presence in our lives is very important.Seeking guidance and protection from the Almighty through prayers is also of great importance."
This was stressed by Police Senior Superintendent Manuel Felix, provincial director of Negros Occidental, during the closing ceremonies of the annual observance of "Flores de Mayo" festivities at St Michael Archangel Chapel inside Camp Alfredo Montelibano.
The NOPPO director, along with his wife Cecile Migrace and their children, made the activity memorable for the participants by way of parlor games, sumptous meals for the entire duration of the month-long affair as well as the gift-giving that followed.
Police Chief Inspector Jefferson Descallar, chief of NOPPO's Police Community Relations Branch, added that the Mayflower activities of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office involves the moral and spiritual upliftment of the children of police personnel inside and outside of the camp in Camingawan.
Likewise, this is in relation to the "TEAM NEGROS" action plan of NOPPO particularly in putting the Almighty first over and above anything else and in partnership with the provincial government of Negros Occidental under the able leadership of Governor Isidro Zayco.
