Deadline for filing of applications for July 26 CSE-PPT set on June 10
Interested applicants for the July 26, 2009 Career Service Examination- Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) for both Professional and Subprofessional levels have until June 10, 2009 to file their applications.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old on the date of filing of application; Filipino citizen; of good moral character; have not been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude, or of disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or addiction to drugs; must have not been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian positions in the government; and has not taken the same level of CS examination in less than three months or has not failed the same examination for four times.
Applicants with pending administrative and/or criminal cases may take the examination and will be conferred the eligibility if they successfully pass the same. However, this is without prejudice to the outcome of their pending cases. If they are found guilty of grave offenses, their eligibility shall be forfeited based on the penalties stated in the decision and pursuant to Sec. 58 (a) of the Uniform Rules on Administrative Cases in the CSC and CSC Resolution No. 010659, dated March 22, 2001.
The Application Requirements are as follows:
- Applicants must accomplish properly the prescribed examination application form (CS Form No. 100-A, Revised 2008)
- Four (4) latest and identical passport size (1.5”x2”) ID pictures with full nametag (surname, first name, and middle initial) taken within three months before the date of filing of application. Pictures that are scanned, photocopied, or computer-enhanced are not accepted. Nametag should not be computer-generated.
- Any valid ID (e.g. Company/Office/School ID, Driver’s License, SSS ID, GSIS ID, Postal ID, Police Clearance Certificate, Valid Passport, etc. which contain the applicant’s picture, signature, birthdate, and the signature of the authorized head of the issuing agency. Photocopy of the same should be attached to the approved application form to serve as reference for Room Examiners on the day of the examination.
- Examination Fee of Php350.00
Those who have already passed the same or a comparable level of examination (i.e. licensure examinations given by the Professional Regulation Commission and the Bar examination) need not apply.
Both Professional and Subprofessional levels of the examinations will cover general information on the Philippine Constitution, RA 6713 (Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees), Peace and Human Rights Issues/Concepts, and Environment Management and Protection.
The CS Professional level will be in English and Filipino and will cover grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, analogy, logic, and numerical reasoning. The CS Suprofessional level will also be in English and Filipino and will cover vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, spelling, clerical operations, numerical reasoning, and reading comprehension.
