Public warning out on escape of 2 murder suspects
Albeit some nine days late, public warning is now out on two murder suspects who escaped from the provincial jail located at San Jose de Buenavista, province of Antique.
Considered by authorities to be armed and dangerous, the duo successfully broke out June 10th placing in peril the fate of four jail guards on duty and the local community in fear.
An apparent news blackout kept the escape away from the public’s attention yet confirmation was finally made yesterday by jail warden Verly Oteda.
The escapees were identified as brothers Nelson and Noli Elgaran of Maybato North in San Jose de Buenavista. Intelligence sources told The News Today (TNT) that the Elgaran brothers are believed to have long left Antique though Warden Oteda told ABS-CBN Iloilo reporter Nony Basco that surrender feelers were made days after the escape.
Manhunt operations have now been joined and backed up by forces of the San Jose Police Office. TNT further learned that being verified are information that point to a possible conspiracy theory involving some jail guards.
Under the management and control of the Antique Provincial Government, this is the nth time for the inmates of the provincial jail called Antique Rehabilitation Center (ARC) to easily escape.
Jail guards on duty in this latest “eskapo” were Provincial Guards Abbid Metiong, Rey Ledason, Eliseo Espares and Jesus Bornales.
Wild talks also abound that the escape of the Elgaran brothers might have something to do with their knowledge on the murder of another inmate killed last month while in detention.
It is feared as well that the duo might have been urged to flee then “salvaged.”
