PSMBFI donates ambulance to PRO-6 Health Service
Retired Police Director Efren Q. Fernandez, president of Public Safety Mutual Benefit Fund, Inc. (PSMBFI), turned over yesterday an ambulance to Police Regional Office 6 Health Service.
Fernandez handed over the symbolic key to PRO6 director, Police Chief Superintendent Isagani R. Cuevas, during the flag raising ceremony, to formally effect the donation.
PSMBFI was created after the effectivity of Republic Act 8291, a law that removed the uniformed members of the PNP, AFP, BJMP and BFP of their compulsory membership from Government Service Insurance System (GSIS).
As a remedy in providing insurance and social security protection of its members, PSMBFI is sensitive to the needs, at the same time acts, as social arm of the PNP.
Fernandez said, in line with its corporate social responsibility, PSMBFI acquired a new definition: P for Professional and Personal Touch, S for Speed and Fast Delivery of Service, M for Magnanimity, B for Benefits.. benefits… and more benefits, F for Financial Soundness and I for Integrity.
Such will also serve as guiding principles in its response to a more relentless effort of the PNP to revise, enhance, and revitalize its campaign plans pertaining to insurgency, criminality and terrorism.
Cuevas expressed his gratitude for the support of PSMBFI to PNP, particularly to PRO6, in the full implementation of the Integrated Transformation Program. (POI Jeramae C Rio)
