Charges vs. 4 DPWH engrs politically motivated?
ROXAS CITY – The charges filed by a “whistle-blower” against four engineers of Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the Office of the Ombudsman is politically motivated.
This was disclosed by a source from the DPWH 2nd Engineering District who spoke on condition of anonymity.
“Engineers are victims of politics and always in a dilemma every time there is an election,” the source said.
He added that the accusations hurled against the engineers are all “fabricated” to destroy the image of 2nd District Cong. Fredenil Castro, whose wife Mrs. Jane Castro will run as congresswoman in the second district of Capiz.
He said, Castro has poured many projects in the second district of Capiz.
Earlier, Divino sued four DPWH engineers of the 2nd district before the Ombudsman in the Visayas namely: Hector Gargoles, Buenric Tolentino, Emil Recio, and Ramonito Lozada.
Divino alleged that those engineers were involved in irregularities by way of non-compliance to standard specifications of DPWH projects and the use of substandard materials.
Divino also asked the Ombudsman to have a lifestyle check on the involved engineers.
Meanwhile, Divino said in a radio interview that he sued the four engineers because he wanted to help stop corruption in the 2nd district of Capiz.
