Fil-Chinese donates 2-classroom school building in Ivisan
ROXAS CITY – The Federation of Filipino-Chinses Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. and Roxas City Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (RCFCCCI) has turned over a two-classroom school building as their donation to the Balaring Elementary School on June 17 in Balaring, Ivisan, Capiz.
In a simple turn-over ceremony, Mr. Leny Albert Apaitan, president of RCFCCCI, said the project which was realized thru his efforts with the help of his mother Mrs. Jovita Apaitan, owner of the Black and White Supermart, is a big help to schoolchildren of the place.
Apaitan, a resident of the said place, also said that the project was also realized due to the support of Gov. Victor Tanco, Sr, who was present during the turn-over.
The president added that this school building is one of the 7 school buildings which had been built and donated by the RCFCCCI to various towns in the province of Capiz.
The said school building was received by Ivisan Mayor Felipe Yap and Balaring Brgy. Capt. Paterno Untayao, the PTCA president and the Student Supreme Council as well as Mr. Benito Armisa, head teacher and Mrs. Brenda U. Vallega, district supervisor.
On his part, Tanco thanked the RCFCCCI and Apaitan family for the said donation.
Also present during the turn-over ceremony were: Board Member Esteban “Nonoy” Contreras, Mr. Jose Nery Ong, president of Capiz Halaran Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Danilo So Chan, Capiz MSMED Council Chairman and Fil-Chi Board of Directors Engr. Reubin Ya, Wilfredo Ya, Hernan Yu, Johnny Magallanes and Jonith A. Blancaver, Executive Director.
