Kryz Culinary Arts and Restaurant Services Institute (KCARSI), a private school institute with the scholarship grants of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) made another batch of students’ dream came true—the graduation— at Iloilo Grand Hotel this June with the theme ‘Competence: An Answer to Global Economic Crisis’.
The said school hold graduations every two months, making it possible with the leadership of the Carillo family: Concepcion C. Carillo, President; Kryztof Ray C. Carillo, Administrative officer; Sancho L. Carillo, and Andy C. Carillo, along with Flora Bella C. Caniel and Cynthia D. Dagel.

The event was made memorable with the presence of Renato Pantaleon the OIC- Focal Director of TESDA Task Force 2nd District, Hon. Raul Gonzales, Jr. the Congressman Lone District of Iloilo City and Hon. Raul Gonzales, Sr. Chief Presidential Legal Council of the Malacañang Palace.
Under the Pangulong Gloria Scholars for Commercial Cooking NCII, there were 451 graduates. There were 28 graduates of Commercial Cooking NCII regular students; 20 graduates in the Food and Beverage NCII; and 143 graduates of the International Cuisine.
The said institution started in the year 2002 with the original name Kryz Handicraft Resources later on changed into Kryz Livelihood Training Center. In 2008, it was already known as Kryz Culinary Arts and Restaurant Services Institute. One of the fulfillments in the part of KCARSI was that they somehow translated their students into persons—being in the kitchen is not all about cooking but there is what we call personality development. Now, most of the KCARSI graduates are successfully working outside the Philippines.
In behalf of being a private institute, KCARSI was still rendering the service under the program of TESDA. With the innovation of teaching strategies, the learning process of the students was made faster. Providing international cuisines, foods which can be seen only in five-star hotels with advance food art—giving more appetite to the guest by good presentation—were the target of this institution wherein the students are taught through actual presentation.
Kryz Culinary Arts and Restaurant Services Institute is located at Bonifacio Drive, Iloilo City (Front of MIWD near River Queen Hotel). They can be reached through contact numbers 5086714 and 09089289284 or visit their Center and look for Connie Carillo.
