SOS Village turns 60
Archbishop Lagdameo, SOS Iloilo
Director Rene Masungsong and the first
seven children of SOS Village Iloilo.
The SOS Children’s Village celebrated its 60th anniversary recently with the theme, “Putting the child first. Working together as one.”
To highlight the celebration, the children gathered for a hand painting impression, an adaptation from SOS Village Austria. This impression symbolized that nobody is alone, for in SOS Village, the child has family.
There were games, an essay and on-the-spot drawing contest. An awarding for SOS mothers took place, too.
The village cares for orphaned, neglected or abandoned children. The SOS Children’s Village accepts support from the public.
