Spanish NGO donation for Pontevedra
Marami Pro Asia (MPA), an international non-government organization, this week turned over a check for 13,456 euros, or P920,121, for the purchase of an ambulance for the town of Pontevedra in Negros Occidental.
Based in Valencia, Spain, the NGO has been conducting medical missions in Pontevedra for the last few years in cooperation with Kusang Loob Foundation. KLF is the private foundation that handles the charities of Mrs. Gretchen Cojuangco.
MPA secretary Santi Tapia turned over the check to Mayor Jomar Alonso and municipal health officer Dr. Johnson Zuluaga. Jackie M. Yusay, representing Mrs. Cojuangco, witnessed the turn over.
The Spanish NGO, composed of doctors and students, is presently conducting a medical mission in Pontevedra. It is supported by Para el Desarollo and Ajuntament de Valencia.
