Treñas commends city cops for arresting Bukas Kotse suspect
Nine metro cops from La Paz and Mandurriao police stations were commended for apprehending a member of Bukas Kotse gang during a joint operation at Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao last August 9.
Mayor Jerry P. Treñas presented the plaques of commendation to the police personnel for the successful conduct of operation and a highly commendable professional dedication to crime solution efforts.
They received the plaques during Monday’s flag raising ceremony August 17. Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) director Senior Supt. Melvin Mongcal assisted the mayor in the awarding of plaques to the policemen.
The La Paz Police Station was granted P15,000 incentive from the City Hall while Police Senior Insp. Alexander R. Rosales; SPO4 Alberto A. Debuque; SPO3 Wilson K. Allona; PO3 Ferdinand Rowe F. Faldas; and PO1 Joemarie B. Lamis were credited for the apprehension of a Bukas Kotse member that attacked a car near St. Clement’s Church in La Paz.
The Mandurriao Police Station was also given P15,000 incentive while Police Chief Insp. Salvador E. Dagoon Jr; SPO1 Feliciano Sedotes; PO3 Ferdinand Ober; and PO1 Angelo Martinez were also commended for the successful apprehension of the same suspect.
Meanwhile, PO2 Julius Uy of Iloilo City Police Station got commendation for nabbing a robbery suspect in Molo while the arrest also yielded a .45 caliber pistol, one magazine and 6 live ammos last July 28. (PIO)
