Remove Clavel and Duron from LTFRB-6
The scandal hounding the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) – Region 6 has already gone out of proportions. Many issues of corruption have been raised by both camps of Atty. Rommel Duron and the taxi operators which also tainted the name of LTFRB regional director Porfirio Clavel. The public no longer knows who is telling the truth and who’s lying. However, one thing is certain – widespread corruption happens inside LTFRB-6. As sacked LTFRB driver Henry Mamon said it starts from the people on the ground up to the bosses. Terrible! With this, LTFRB chair Alberto Suansing should not dilly-dally on this problem hounding the LTFRB office in Western Visayas as it causes demoralization among ordinary employees. Maybe, the best thing Suansing could for LTFRB-6 now is to remove both Clavel and Duron out of the region so that this fiasco will be put to rest. What do you think Atty. Go?
Vice Gov. Suplico sees Erap
Vice Gov. Rolex Suplico was among the political leaders who dined with Erap at Westown Hotel Monday night. Many wondered since the vice governor has been openly supporting Senator Manny Villar who was the first to declare that he will be running for president in 2010. Well, in the press conference the following Morning Erap merely said that Rolex is a good friend, and during their meeting they only talked about corruption in government. In fact, the former president said his group can adopt Suplico as a guest congressional candidate in the fifth district. “Pareho kasi kaming kalaban ang korapsyon,” Erap quipped.
From the E-mail
This is April Valerie Hurtada the 3rd daughter of Mr. Levi Hurtada who was ambushed and killed last July 27th, 2009 at Block 3 of Alvarez Subdivision, Brgy.10. I just would like to correct some information stated on the article of TNT last August 11, 2009. First, my father is only 53 yrs old and not 55 yrs old; second, my father don’t have four fatal wounds on his head which caused his immediate demise; instead he has 2 fatal wounds on his neck 1 on his nose and the rest of the wounds is on his chest, he got a total of 12 gunshot wounds. And also my father never received any financial assistance under the amnesty program of the national government. And lastly he did not surrender, instead he was captured last 1994. Thank you – April Valerie Hurtada
