‘Scubasureros’ go to Guimaras
The Philippine National Police Chief, Police Director General Jesus A. Versoza, is set to visit Guimaras Province for a coastal clean-up and mangrove planting on Thursday.
The activity is dubbed as “scubasurero”, Versoza’s pet program which focuses on PNP’s involvement in the preservation of the environment and conservation of natural resources.
The coastal clean up and mangrove planting will be held at Brgy. Tando, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras.
There will also be fun dive at Guisi Clearwater Resort in Brgy. Dolores of the said town.
Last year, Police Regional Office 6 director, Police Chief Superintendent Isagani R. Cuevas, replicated the project and held a coastal clean up at Brgys. Sto. Niño Sur and Norte, Averalo, Iloilo City.
He also enjoined all police units in the region to implement the project in their respective areas of responsibility. (FB Lindero Jr.)
