Capiz info officers to participate in climate change briefing
ROXAS CITY – About 40 information officers from the national government agencies, government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCC) and local government units in Capiz are expected to participate in the briefing on global warming and climate change here.
The activity, which is being spearheaded by the Philippine Information Agency, is scheduled on October 9 at the Holding Room of the Capiz Provincial Capitol.
Among those who are set to join the orientation are the members of the Capiz Association of Government Public Information Officers (CAGPIO) led by its president Engineer Julius Abela from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
The Community Development Information Officers (CDIOs) from the local government units have also confirmed their attendance to said activity.
The resource speakers will come from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
Capiz Provincial Press Bureau Chief Edward Basilonia said that global warming and climate change is everybody’s concern.
