Power lunch at Bluejay Coffee and Deli
Chef Rene Emmanuel Arambulo. For executives who are in a tight schedule yet need a filling lunch to help them get through the day, Bluejay Coffee and Deli’s Power Lunch is a good choice.
I and some media colleagues tried out the much-talked-about Power Lunch of Bluejay’s at Amigo Plaza Mall. The cozy and modern-interiored restaurant was packed with those who want to have the same – the Power Lunch.
Since it was a Tuesday, we had to choose between two Power Lunch variations served for that specific day. I had Poulet au Vin (Chicken stewed in Shiraz Wine, Bacon, Sausage, Onions, Carrots and Parsley
Creamed Spinach) while the others ordered Mornay Seafood Gratinee (Mixed Seafood topped with a Mornay and White Wine Sauce and Grilled Salamander Style). Everybody agreed that the food were excellent.
Grilled Fish Andina.I also had the chance to talk to Bluejay’s Executive Chef, Rene. He has earned a Grand Diplome du Cuisine from Le Cordon Bleu du Paris in Paris and opened a business called The French Bakery. He said that Power Lunch is a fusion of the French (for the taste) and Continental (big and full servings) cuisines. “It’s a quick and satisfying meal at a reasonable price of P230. You’re also assured of fresh ingredients. Bring your guests to Bluejay for a Power Lunch. Nice place, nice ambiance, quiet enough. You won’t go wrong here,” he concluded.
