Descallar is Model PCO for October, 9 others cited
BACOLOD CITY — Multi-awarded PNP officer, Police Chief Inspector Jefferson Descallar was awarded the Model Police Commissioned Officer of the Month for his contribution to the Negros Occidental PNP that led to NOPPO maintaining the No. 1 ranking in PRO6’s Performance Evaluation Rating for the 3rd Quarter.
Descallar, a graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy Class of 1996, was the former chief of Cadiz City PNP prior to his designation as chief of the Operations and Plans Branch as well as chief of the Police Community Relations Branch of NOPPO.
The Negros Occidental PNP ranked first in operations, PCR and investigation among nine police units under PRO6 in the latest PER of 2009.
Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office director Police Senior Superintendent Manuel Felix also awarded Senior Police Officer 2 Felipe Ignalaga of the HRDD as Model Police Non-Commissioned Officer of the Month as well as Non-Uniformed Personnel Shirley Yanson as NUP for the Month of October.
During last Friday’s flag retreat ceremony at Camp Alfredo Montelibano, Felix presented certificates of recognition to Senior Police Officer 1 Leonel Adolacion, Police Officer 3 Renato Sopio Jr, Police Officer 2 Amor Firmeza, Police Officer 1 Nelson Madrena Jr, Police Officer 1 Florence Estrebor and Police Officer 1 Roel Peniero for passing the Board Exam for Criminologists.
On the other hand, Police Officer 1 Rhumyla Mangilimutan was also awarded a certificate of recognition for her commendable performance in topping the DIDM seminar training on anti-human trafficking recently.
The monthly awarding of police personnel is in line with the Team NEGROS action plan of NOPPO specifically in transforming the Negros Occidental Police into a more capable, professional, highly motivated and respected public servants.
