BCC grads post excellent passing average in Oct 2009 LET
Again, Bacolod City College has maintained its reputation as one of the best colleges in the Teachers Education Program both in Bacolod City and the Western Visayas region.
The Professional Regulation Commission announces that 10,792 secondary teachers out of the 38,339 examinees (28.15%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers given by the Board of Professional Teachers in October 4, in 23 testing centers all over the Philippines.
Nine (9) out of ten BCC graduates who took the LET exams for Secondary Teachers hurdled the examination posting an excellent 90% passing average, way high above the national passing average of 28.15%.
In the Elementary Teacher category, the PRC announces that 8,045 elementary teachers out of the 43,086 examinees (18.67%) successfully passed the Licensure Exams.
Nine (9) out of twenty-one BCC graduates who took the LET for Elementary Teachers passed with an admirable 42.8% passing average, above the national passing average of 18.16%.
City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, the City Council, and the Board of Trustees of BCC extends its congratulations to the LET passers, College Administrator, and the Faculty Members of the Teachers Education Program for the honor they have given the whole community with their most recent achievement.
The LET passers are the following: Alfonso, Junilo; Cabalonga, Cheryl; Cauntod, Merle; Diocson, Ma. Aprilyn; Gonzales, Ember; Julio, Lyzel; Ledera, Madel; Sabares, Snow Ann; Tolentio, Rhona.
LET passers for the Elementary Teacher Category: Argel, Valentino; Berba, Bryan; Claridad, Cheradee; Destura, Janneth; Erpelua, Shelly Mae; Labaniego, Honesty; Mapa, Icor, Moletin, Mayca; and Pagunsan, Edna Reza.
