Miss Silka 2009 known
1st Miss Silka Philippines 2009 Kristel Empeno..The Grand Finals of Miss Silka 2009 was finally concluded and the winner is Kristel Empeno. The candidates were assessed based on the judges’ over-all impression on the candidate to determine the final ranking.
Miss Silka Iloilo-Angelie Joy Golinggay; Miss Silka Cagayan de Oro-Joanne Galenzoga and Miss Silka Bacolod- Monica Coscolluela were adjudged the 1st, 2nd and 3rd runners-up respectively.
The show formally began with the performance of the Irong-Irong Dance Company of the WVSU where the girls paraded their festival costumes.
An evening resort pieces designed exclusively by upcoming designers Ian Jorda and John Montinola was also fashioned during the show.
A colorful parade depicting the colors of Silka highlighted the evening gown competition where the ladies took center stage wearing the creations of popular designer Alex Gonzales-Soncio.
Host Paolo Bediones with 3rd runner up Monica Coscolluela, Miss Silka Phils Kristel Empeno, 1st runner up Angelie Joy Golinggay and 2nd runner-up Joanne Galenzoga..The judges were Cosmetique Asia Marketing Manager-Jane Co; Media Gateway Corporate Sales and Marketing Director- Deb Guttierrez; Callbox Marketing Solutions Chief Operating Officer-Glen Norris; VIISA Resources Chief Operating Officer and Vice President KV Golamco; and Miss Philippines World 2007 Kristine Rachel Florendo selected 10 candidates who comprised the group of semi-finalists.
Harpist-singer Noelle Cassandra and Silka endorser, actress-host-singer Iya Villania entertained everyone with their beautiful song numbers. Paolo Bediones hosted the coronation night.
Cosmetique Asia Corporation top brass, CEO & President Alex Co, CFO Juanita Co, COO Janssen Co, VP Finance Hennie Co and Marketing Manager Jane Co graced the event.
