Bermejo-Altobano complete slate bared
ROXAS CITY – Reelectionest City Mayor Vicente Bermejo and running-mate for vice mayor City Councilor Dennis Altobano, who will definitely oppose Sen. Mar Roxas’ chosen candidates, had already formed their complete line up.
A reliable source revealed to The News Today (TNT) Bermejo’s line up: four reelectionist city councilors who remain loyal to Bermejo: Greg Arcenas, Carla Abela, Jose Agdalipe and Rolando “Toto” Ignacio.
The other six councilorables are: businessmen Johnny Magallanes and Lauro Lima; Ramon “Nonoy” Albar, father of Lawa-an Brgy. Captain Randy Albar; former number one City Councilor Teresa “Inday” Almalbis; lawyer Albert Deslate, and former City Councilor Ray Andrada.
The source also revealed that for the 1st district board members the slate include: City Councilor Ramon “Monchit” Albar, Dr. Cesar Yap, Blesilda “Gingging” Perez Almalbis, Pontevedra Vice Mayor Noeme Dumapig and Atty. Kenneth Alovera, son of Judge Jose “Peping” Alovera.
The source, however, did not reveal on what party the Bermejo-Altobano group will be running.
It was learned that Vice Governor Felipe Barredo will run against Sen. Roxas’ chosen candidates: 1st district congressman against Cong. Antonio del Rosario who are allies of Gov. Victor Tanco, Sr. and Board Member Nonoy Contreras as running mate for vice governor.
Barredo, who is a first cousin of Bermejo, will run under Ugyon Kita Capiz of former Department of Agriculture (DA) Usec. Jocelyn “Jocjoc” Bolate and 2nd Distrcit Cong. Fredenil Castro.
The Bermejo and Altobano tandem will definitely oppose former City Vice Mayor Allan Celino and incumbent Vice Mayor Ronnie Dadivas. The line up of the Celino and Dadivas tandem was not complete as of press time however, they have an initial slates as follows: two reelectionist city councilors: Jun Anisco and Erwin Sicad, Elson Londres, former city councilor lawyer Alberto Potato, Powel del Rosario, nephew of Cong, Del Rosario; Matty Verterbo, former city councilors Gilbert Tan and Victor Arcenas. Not all in the list has confirmed their intention to run.
