Del Rosario, Lastimoso, Tanco, Celino, many others proclaimed LP bets
ROXAS CITY – Liberal Party (LP) presidential bet Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and vice presidential bet Senator Mar Roxas anointed reelectionist 1st District Cong. Antonio del Rosario, former PNP Chief Roberto “Bobby” Lastimoso for congressman of 2nd district of Capiz; reelectionist Capiz Gov. Victor Tanco, Sr. and former City Vice Mayor Allan Celino for city mayor as official candidates of LP in the 2010 election at Capiz Gym in the Villareal Stadium yesterday morning.
Del Rosario is facing Vice Gov. Felipe Barredo of Ugyon Kita Capiz (UKC); Lastimoso versus 2nd District Cong. Fredenil Castro’s wife Baby Jane Castro (UKC), Tanco will run against former Agriculture Undersecretary Jocelyn “Jocjoc” Bolante (UKC) and Celino will also oppose City Mayor Vicente Bermejo.
Also proclaimed were: Board Member Esteban Contreras, Tanco’s running mate and incumbent Vice Ronnie Dadivas as Celino’s nunning mate.
First district mayors, Panay: Nene Asis for mayor and Alan Bermejo for vice mayor; Panitan: Mayor Kit Belo and Vice Mayor Generoso Deramas for vice mayor; President Roxas: Board Member Raymund Locsin for mayor and Vice Mayor Golero as running mate; Pilar: Mayor Ritalyn Patricio and running mate; and Maayon: Vice Mayor Pedot Borres and running mate.
Aquino and Roxas held a caravan around Roxas City before declaring their bets at the Capiz gym which was full of their supporters and political leaders.
The presidential and vice presidential aspirants were accompanied by two senatorial candidates namely: Former Bukidnon Congressman Neric Acosta and Akbayan Partylist Cong. Riza Hontiveros.
The said proclamation was also attended by Mrs. Judy Roxas, and the wives of LP stalwarts.
Aquino and Roxas proceeded to Sigma, Capiz where they also proclaimed the LP bets for 2nd district mayors of 10 towns and their complete slates.
