The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental through the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) conducted a veterinary medical mission in Brgy. Bunga, Municipality of Don Salvador Benedicto, last week, as part of the provincial government’s effort of ensuring agricultural productivity and food security.
Livestock and poultry animals such as carabaos, cattles, horses, swines, and goats were dewormed and given hemorrhagic septicemia (hemosep) vaccine; while dogs were vaccinated with anti-rabies.
The whole-day activity was spearheaded by Dr. Placeda Lemana of the PVO Animal Health Division, together with Teodoro Dimaandal, Jr., Cathyrine Narez, Chasyl Gelladuga, and Belen Alvarez, all of the PVO, who were assisted by paravets in the area.
The team also distributed veterinary drugs and biologics and provided free consultation to animals. (Capitol News)
