BCPO to avail of free digital rectal examination
The Rotary Club of Bacolod – East in cooperation with United Laboratories, BIOMEDIS Incorporated will be having a Free Digital Rectal Examination plus a Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and Erectile Dysfunction Awareness lecture to BCPO personnel on December 04, 2009, 2:00 P.M at the Bacolod City Police Office Training Academy.
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia or enlargement of the prostate is one of the most common disorder in men 40 years old and above in the Philippines. In fact, it is the fourth most common diagnosed disorder in the United Sates of America.
Furthermore, Erectile Dysfunction is also beginning to be prevalent in middle and old aged men.
The team will be bringing a top Urologist in Bacolod City to discuss about the sign and symptoms of BPH and Erectile Dysfunction as well as the possible prevention and treatment.
After the lecture those who are 40 years old and above can have their prostate checked up by the Urologist and if diagnosed to have prostate enlargement they will be given medicines. (PO1 Jared Esquilla)
