PNP: Leganes slay may end up in amicable settlement
Police investigators are looking at the possibility of an amicable settlement relative to the murder of a 27-year old man in Leganes, Iloilo over the weekend.
Leganes Police Station deputy commander SPO4 Reynaldo Jalandoni said that the family of Remy Tadifa, 27, of Sitio Pangpang, Brgy. Gua-an, Leganes expressed willingness for an out-of-court settlement if the suspect would help them financially.
Yesterday afternoon, Jalandoni claimed that they are just waiting for a go-signal to facilitate the voluntary surrender of the suspect, 21-year old Ricky Bolido of Brgy. Nabitasan, Leganes.
To note, Tadifa’s body was discovered at around 10:00 in the morning of Saturday.
He suffered from hack and stabbed injuries.
Follow-up investigation revealed that the Tadifa allegedly raped a 21-year old mentally-challenged woman, who happens to be Bolido’s cousin, at a fishpond at Brgy. Cari Minor, Leganes.
Bolido allegedly saw what happened prompting him to rescue the woman.
A grappling then ensued between Tadifa and Bolido for the possession of the bolo.
Apparently, Bolido overpowered the victim and had the latter hacked and stabbed.
