Worst is coming?
“Where is the president?” Maguindanao Rep. Dilangalen asked.
If she appears in Congress or say something in the open against or for her political spouse, the Ampatuan clan, it will just be like she’s putting herself in contempt. Another classic example of damn if you do, damn if you don’t situation. In this case, silence is GMA’s best defense (also a proof of her guilt?).

Officially, the Ampatuan clan patriarch’s networth is P11 million. Unofficially, however, the wealth rebellion suspect Andal Ampatuan Sr. could reach up to at least P1.3 billion.
Like mother (GMA) and father (FG), like son (or like Ampatuan).

Abu Sayyaf beheaded yesterday one of three hostages they seized last month in Basilan.
Wake up call to the National Defense Office.

The latest winner of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” is the biggest loser in the show’s history. Danny Cahill, a 40-year-old land surveyor and musician from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, lost 239 pounds to win the $250,000 grand prize.
This is amazing! Mind over matter! He lost almost twice my weight! Another Guinness candidate I guess.

The worse is yet to come?

Ricardo “Doy” Andrada, president of the Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation Inc. (IDFI) says that they will avoid political speeches in the conduct of Dinagyang 2010.
I completely doubt if they really can avoid it. Money talks and it talks loud.

The 38th Paraw Regatta is set February 14-21, 2010 with the theme: “Sailing With Honor and Pride on a Strong Filipino Seafaring Tradition.”
Can we add to the theme the idea of safety—like “sailing with Honor, Pride, and Safety…”?

Sen. Nene Pimental says if there is no motive for rebellion, then there must be no rebellion.
This sounds logical. I guess the administration would like to pursue with the rebellion accusation nonetheless just to give them the slack to do what they want against the Ampatuans. But I hope this Martial Law privilege will be used to extract justice, and not to tamper the anti-GMA evidence to the 2007 election fraud.

Scientists in France have isolated a new giant virus that lurks inside amoeba and whose gene pool includes genetic material from other species.
This must be contained well, or else, it can become another (or worse than) AH1N1 in the making.

The Ampatuans must not just be accused of rebellion but also murder and rape, among others.
Rebellion alone will not suffice. It can even work for the benefit of the accused. If proven guilty of rebellion alone, all they need is the Malacanang’s amnesty to be free anew.

“As I get older he doesn’t bother to look at me!” Mary cries.
“I’m so sorry for you, as I get older my husband says I get more beautiful every day.” replies Jane.
“Yes, but your husband’s an antique dealer!”
