Celebrate Birth of Jesus Christ Reverently
Christians in more than 180 countries of the world will go to church and celebrate Jesus Christ birth which took effect somewhere in 4 or 5 B.C. In Russia and China where millions of born again Christians have emerged, the birth of Jesus Christ is solemnly observed. The Angel of the Lord appeared to Mary, thus: “Rejoice highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” The angel said unto Mary, “ Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and in His kingdom there will be no end.” Luke 1:18-33. The rejoicing Angels told the shepherds, the three wise men came and saw the Lord Jesus lying on a manger that cool morning in Bethlehem in swaddling clothes with Mary and Joseph caring for him.
Christians should worship Jesus Christ holy and solemnly and not with so many unnecessary fanfares as what is happening today in many Christian nations. People concentrate on food rather than on Jesus. Men and Women join together in drinking hard liquor and dance boldly to their heart desires. Many men frustrate on roads and alleys drank to the brim. Many gamble in Casinos and gambling dens. Housewives are busy preparing various kinds of foods and children play toys their satisfaction and even forget their Creator. Partying in all private and government offices is the mood of the duration of the birth of Jesus Christ. They forget Him but come to Him only when they have problems. Jesus is second only to food and merrymaking. The dedicated ones go to church in humble adoration to God.
God is to be worshiped in truth and in spirit for He is the creator of heaven and earth and all that good things today that His children enjoy. But except for the genuine Christians, many professing Christians love Jesus Christ with their lips but honor Him not in their heart and action. They remember only Jesus Christ when they have already satisfied their stomach and their earthly emotions. But thanks be to the faithful believers who despite of their riches and poverty, they attend first to God and not to worldly things/pleasures. They attend first to God and make God the center of their life.
During the more than 700 years when Jesus Christ was born according to the records of Bible scholars, Christ still manifests His presence with His faithfuls; those whose faith on God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit is unwavering come high or low water. The birth of Jesus Christ this December is the best opportunity for those who have not known Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father and no one else. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth and the life, No man comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6, when Thomas asked Him. “Lord, we do not know where you are going, and how can we know the way?” John 14:5.
We are just temporal on this earth. If you have Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, confess your sins and do away with foolishness in your life till He comes, and your name is written in the Book of Life, the Bible says you are bound to heaven and inherit eternal life and you will be with the Lord forever and ever. Is this not the best Christmas you will receive in Year 2009?
Praise God! Alleluia! Merry Christmas to all!
